JanduSoft has announced that the highly anticipated 2D Metroidvania game, 9 Years of Shadows, developed by Halberd Studios, will be making its way to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in the second quarter of 2025. It'll be priced at $19.99.

About 9 Years of Shadows
In 9 Years of Shadows, the world has been stripped of color, joy, and hope for the past nine years due to a curse rooted in the mysterious Talos Castle orphanage. Countless adventurers have tried to lift the curse and restore balance, but none have succeeded—until now.
The latest hero to take on the challenge is Europa, a brave soul armed with only a halberd and determination. Alongside her is Apino, a magical bear companion who offers healing, protection, and the power to cleanse corruption. Apino is also handy with projectiles and can even unlock doors, making it an essential part of Europa's quest.
As Europa explores Talos Castle, she will encounter elemental gear, each with unique abilities that open up new areas to explore and secrets to uncover.
Music & Soundtrack
What sets 9 Years of Shadows apart is its incredible soundtrack, which plays a huge role in the experience. The game features guest composers Michiru Yamane (known for Castlevania) and Norihiko Hibino (known for Metal Gear Solid), who also appear as NPCs in the game. The music is woven into the gameplay itself, with hidden bosses having musical attack patterns, and the overall story being deeply connected to the soundtrack. The vibrant art style and stunning character designs only add to the charm of this game.
